Absolute Now Delivers Music Videos to Spotify

We’re excited to announce a major update to our delivery capabilities: Anthology can now deliver music videos directly to Spotify.

This means any video content in your existing catalogue is now eligible for processing and delivery to Spotify, expanding your artists’ visual presence on one of the world’s largest streaming platforms.

What Video Types Spotify Accepts

Spotify currently supports the following types of music videos:

  • Premium Music Video – An official music video of an existing audio recording. When creating the video track, you’ll need to provide the corresponding audio ISRC. This track must already be available on Spotify.

  • Performance Video – A recording of a live or pre-recorded performance that doesn’t correspond directly to a commercially released audio track with an assigned ISRC. This includes live performances, cover versions, and other performance-based videos.

What Spotify Does Not Accept

  • Lyric videos (videos containing on-screen lyrics)

  • Pseudo videos or visualisers (static images or looping animations)

  • Videos with closed captioning

What to Expect

As we begin distributing your video catalogue, you may notice notifications indicating that deliveries have been made. These are simply confirmations that your videos have been successfully processed and sent to Spotify, no action is needed on your part.
