Here are some of the top tools and recommendations within Beatport For Artists:

Share and Connect

Sharing To Your Audience: Beatport offers an array of sharing tools and marketing opportunities specifically made for your fans. This includes their DJ Chart feature, where artists can curate and spotlight a list of releases, which could be chosen by Beatport’s editorial team to be featured within their store. Beatport has also introduced an effortless way to share your Beatport chart or editorial success, through generated branded images ready for socials that link directly to your music, available on their Beatport mobile app

Social Content: To help your music and story be heard across social media, Beatport teams up with artists to share the following collaborative content across their Beatport social channels, which are good ideas to use for your own channels as well! Here are a few of the top formats:

  • Studio Jam: Artists share footage from inside their studio and breakdown how they create a track, from their favourite tools to their DJ setup.

  • Unpacked: Artists share their must-have tracks and their top insights.

  • Day in the Life: A behind the scenes series sharing an artist's story and process.

Global Artist Programs

Global Remix Challenge:  Beatport is renowned for their remix contests and challenges, available to artists of all sizes.  Artists can both run and compete within this range of remix competitions on Beatport, including Beatport’s Global Remix Challenge. Here you can show off your creativity to legendary artists and labels by sharing your own remix of their tracks, and by submitting a remix you could have a chance at receiving an official Beatport remix release, marketing support and more.

Beatport Next: Beatport Next is Beatport’s flagship accelerator program designed to amplify rising voices and take them to a global scale. The platform champions the most exciting emerging artists, who they believe represent the future sound of electronic music, and support them through a year-long career-building campaign. This includes editorial support, live opportunities, network development, and much more. Past Beatport Next artists include Nia Archives, KILIMANJARO, and Azzecca. Applications are open to all genres and artists across the world, and run every November.

Releasing Music

Sharing Your Demos: Beatport utilises the demo tool LabelRadar to provide artists with a simple way of sharing their music amongst labels. Simply upload your release to LabelRadar, and they will ensure it is sent to the correct contact at the label or promoter you are interested in, even allowing you to see when the demo has been listened to by their teams. Artists are able to set criteria based on their DAW, genre, country, language and more in order to find the best artist community for them. For more on Beatport’s Artist Network see here.

Beatport For Labels

“Grow. Get Heard. Move the World.”

Beatport has crafted a resource platform aimed at helping labels balance creativity with business, with impactful ways to manage catalogs, support their rosters and build their audiences. Amongst the many label management and promotional recommendations within Beatport for Labels, here are a few of the most impactful tools to consider when releasing on Beatport:

Boost Visibility

Beatport Hype: Beatport Hype is the platform's label growth accelerator program, to help smaller labels gain visibility on the platform. Becoming a Beatport Hype label guarantees that Beatport’s curators will listen to the music being released on your label, with the aim of building a relationship between labels and curators. Hype provides several further opportunities for promotional placements within the platform, with Beatport’s homepage and most genre specific pages having dedicated Hype charts and features. It has the ability to create momentum that can lead to a wider audience in Beatport’s ecosystem. To become a Beatport Hype label, you must be releasing on Beatport with sales of less than $25,000 in the past 12 months, be releasing within eligible genres, and pay a fee of £7.99 per month. For more on Hype see the Beatport For Labels Hype Page here.

Find and Sign Artists

LabelRadar: Beatport’s demo tool LabelRadar streamlines the demo process, from submission to signing. It directs demos to the labels they are best suited to, in an efficient way for labels. They now have over 4K labels using this platform. Explore the platform here

Remix Contests: Running a remix contest on Beatport allows you to see how producers and artists redefine your rosters tracks, helping you discover new artists and potential collaborators who can help take their artists’s music to wider audiences as well as continue to build momentum around your track. A remix contest is set up through a collaboration between LabelRadar and Beatport, all your team has to do is share the stems and spread the word on the contest!

Promote Your Releases

Exclusives: When sharing a Beatport Exclusive, you have the ability to choose your exclusivity period to best fit your promotional campaign. Beatport Exclusives are designed to generate more sales for your label, with exclusives having the ability to land top marketing placements and feature spaces within Beatport’s platform, and to help build momentum and visibility for your release.

DJ Charts: Share what your label is loving and listening to through curating a Beatport chart. Not only does this allow listeners to understand your label and expand your audience, but DJ charts are also featured weekly throughout Beatport’s platform.

Pre-Orders: Setting up pre-orders drives momentum pointing towards release day. Sales on Beatport within the 28 days prior to your releases count towards your first week charting.
