Setting Up a Countdown Page
To create a Countdown Page for your upcoming album, follow these steps:
Log in: Access your Spotify for Artists account on the web.
Navigate to upcoming releases: Go to the 'Music' tab, then select 'Upcoming'.
Select your release: Choose the album you want to promote and click 'Get started'.
Add content: You can upload Clips and tag your merchandise.
Review and publish: Finalise your page and make it live.
Once published, fans can start pre-saving your release and viewing your Clips via your artist profile, Now Playing view, notifications, and more. When your new music goes live, Spotify sends a push notification to all pre-savers and adds it directly to their library. On average, nearly 70% of users who pre-save an album stream it during the first week.
Benefits of Using Countdown Pages
Enhanced fan engagement: Countdown Pages centralise all pre-release content, allowing fans to interact directly with your upcoming music, merchandise, and exclusive videos.
Increased pre-saves and streams: By offering fans the ability to pre-save albums, you ensure your music appears in their libraries immediately upon release, boosting first-week streams.
comprehensive analytics: Spotify provides insights into your Countdown Page's performance, including total pre-saves, impressions, and the percentage of pre-savers who stream the album in the first seven days.
Implementing Countdown Pages as part of your release strategy can significantly enhance your promotional efforts, keeping fans engaged and driving streams from day one
