Pandora: Artist Marketing Tools
Pandora offers a powerful suite of marketing tools through its Artist Marketing Platform (AMP), designed to help artists grow their audience, promote new releases, and better understand performance on the platform. From boosting visibility with Featured Tracks and creating personalised campaigns, to engaging fans through Pandora Stories and Artist Audio Messages, this guide breaks down how to make the most of Pandora’s tools. Whether you're launching a single, promoting a tour, or tracking listener insights, AMP gives you everything you need to connect with your audience and optimise your strategy.
Featured Tracks
Featured Tracks help boost visibility and listener feedback for your newest songs, speeding up the track's path to its optimal rotation level on Pandora. These tracks receive a temporary increase in plays, up to eight weeks, giving listeners more chances to hear them and give feedback via thumbs up or down. This helps make sure your song reaches the right audience, on the right stations.
When you mark a track as Featured, it automatically launches a Campaign. Campaigns can include more than one Featured Track and/or Artist Audio Messages to promote music releases or events. Using multiple tools in one Campaign creates deeper engagement and provides data to inform your promotional strategy.
Impact:
Featuring a track is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get your music heard by more people on Pandora. Once a track is Featured, it's tested and promoted more widely, giving it more spins on relevant stations.
Best time to use:
Featuring works best when tied to a bigger promotional moment, such as the release of a single or music video. Pairing it with an Artist Audio Message can boost fan connection even more. You can also Feature a song tied to key events during an album cycle, for instance, a radio launch or a big sync placement. Just note: only tracks added to Pandora in the past year are eligible.
Promote Single
Promote Singles allows you to pair a Featured Track with an Artist Audio Message, helping you spotlight a new release while directly engaging fans. Keep in mind that this will use one of your allotted Featured Track slots, making it ideal for priority tracks you want to push further.
Promote Show
Promote Shows combines an Artist Audio Message with a ticketing link from Pandora’s live event partners, like Ticketmaster or Songkick. This tool automatically targets listeners in the areas where you're performing, making it an effective way to drive ticket sales and promote your tour directly to fans.
Artist Audio Messages (AAM)
Talk directly to your fans with short, personalised audio messages. These are perfect for sharing updates, promoting new music, sharing merch drops or inviting listeners to upcoming shows. They're conversational and help fans feel personally connected to you.
Pandora Stories
Pandora Stories let you build customised curated playlists or stations using music and comedy from Pandora’s catalogue. You can also personalise these with commentary, either your own or a collaborator’s, by uploading Voice Tracks.
This format blends the storytelling of podcasts with the curation of playlists, offering a new way to connect with listeners. Every artist with music on Pandora can use this tool through the Programs tab in their AMP dashboard.

The Insights section gives you access to key data on your performance across Pandora, all in one place on your AMP profile.
